Citizenship Preparation
Literacy Source's Citizenship program offers:
- Citizenship classes
- One-to-one or small group tutoring
- Practice interviews with a trained volunteer or staff member
- Individual help including referrals for application assistance or legal advice
- Community Engagement opportunities
Classes are in English. Interpretation is available. Citizenship students learn about U.S. History and Civics, interviewing skills, and civic engagement while improving English language skills.
To be eligible for our program, you must:
- Have applied for citizenship or be eligible to apply for citizenship within one year
- Have a valid (non-expired) Permanent Resident (Green) Card
- Be a low-income resident of the City of Seattle or be a King County resident who is receiving public assistance
