Nancy Pearl regaled us with book reviews, stories and the 50 page rule as only Seattle’s most-famous-librarian can at our 2008 Breakfast – the most successful Literacy Source fundraising breakfast ever!
Attendees were also inspired by words from Seattle City Council chair Richard Conlin, Literacy Source learners, tutors and staff. This festive and inspiring May Day breakfast with the theme “Join the Great Conversation” brought in more than $40,000 -- $5,000 above our goal!
Thanks especially to our generous sponsors, whose contributions covered event costs so that every dollar donated will directly support Literacy Source’s thriving instructional programs. Kudos also to the wonderful table hosts who filled the room with their friends and colleagues who are now Literacy Source supporters as well.
