2009 Literacy Source Breakfast

“A triumph!”

“Impressively expressive, and so authentic … one moving morning.”

“Engaging, smart and saucy.”

Reviews for the new indie flick? No, comments from guests at the 2009 Literacy Source breakfast, Charting a Course for Self-Sufficiency. The May 6th event was a runaway success, featuring a full house of friends and supporters.

Guests were captivated and moved by inspiring stories from Literacy Source learners Joares “Junior” Lass, Andres Robles and Olga Suleymanova, and from tutor Roger Meece. Once again we are deeply indebted to the inimitable Nancy Pearl for her captivating book recommendations and tales of the literary life.

Special thanks to our table captains and their approximately 300 guests who helped us reach our fundraising goal.

Thanks also to Chris Cassidy and Board Breakfast Committee members, to Ginger Everhart, MC extraordinaire, Beth Means for buoyant graphics, and photographer Uan Sriphen.
