Workforce Instruction

We provide training opportunities that combine teaching English language and literacy with instruction in workplace culture, computers, managing a budget, and setting goals. These programs help immigrants and refugees develop language and job skills for current and future workplaces.

  • On-the-job training: Literacy Source partners with local companies and organizations to offer free classes to non-native English speaking employees. Group instruction for specific industries takes place on the job site or at our center in Fremont.
  • Classes at our center:

    Computer Skills

    Mondays and Wednesdays  9:30-11:30 am
Students with any English level can learn basic skills for using the mouse, keyboard, Internet, and more.

    ESL for Job Seekers

Open to beginning level students who need English to improve their skills in the job market. Learn English for writing resumes, interviewing, and preparing for work.
